What Joanne Won

new products, Weekly Coy Draw No Comments

Hey there,

Last week Joanne won this shirt through a draw on Facebook. And by draw, I mean, I asked, “Who wants this?” and she was the first to answer. No skill testing question even.

Don’t like being handcuffed to Facebook? Me neither. Today I’ll draw from my subscriber list later today AND also have  a Facebook draw. Two chances today!

I leave you with Jason Bateman, Will Arnett, Aubrey Plaza and a blonde woman who I don’t recognize and can’t find her name in an Orbit commercial.

Adios,

Lisa

Do You Need This?

(Or, do you know someone who needs this shirt?)

Hey there,

Let me introduce you to Lady Killer. She’s the happiest, spiffiest murderer you’ll ever meet. You can have her for youself or gift her to someone in need.

It’s very simple. The first person to send me an email with the subject heading “I want Lady Killer.” gets a new t-shirt. Of course you pick the colour and cut of your shirt (as always) and the patch colour too. She comes in cream (shown), pink gingham, grey, loden-green and burnt orange. You can add “too damn close” and other text too if you want.

The first one to email me gets her, er it.

I’ll be giving away a new design each week over the next few weeks. Look out for: Saucy Cowgirl, Manly Coffee Addict, African American Alcoholics and Bigger and Better Bacon and poutine?

Have a great Canada Day.

Adios,

Lisa

Das groβe TRIER-BUCH

Hey there.

Had a great day at the antique market (across from St. Lawrence Market in Toronto) a few weeks ago. I was looking for old books to make into envelopes and it did not disappoint. Here’s one of my finds:

A book of illustrations by Walter Trier.

The book is filled with great images perfect for envelopes. There’s a great range of charcoal illustrations and some full colour too. Trier grew up in Nazi Germany, escaped to the UK and eventually made it to Ontario. His illustrations are mostly kooky and fun — he illustrated a number of children’s books. If you want to know a bit more, here’s his  bio.

I’ll upload them soon on the site for sale, but I thought I’d showcase them here first because I love them so much.

Little Head and Big Head kill me.

A smattering of Walter Trier’s illustrations.

One final note on the envelopes. They aren’t gummed, so you can’t lick them shut. I do include transparent, 1″ circular, re-sealable stickers with every envelope. If you want, I will include plain, white stickers if you want to address them, but I personally think it wrecks the envelope.

All this German stuff has put me in the mood for some fun. Here’s David Hasselhoff singing  in German. Now I want schnitzel and pork rinds.

Adios,

Lisa
